Robbie graduated from the University of Utah this month with a BA in geoscience. Basically his degree is the study of rocks, land & water. He is the guy that tells the guys where to dig for oil & so on. He loves his degree simply because it keeps him outdoors where he loves to be.

The Graduation ceremony was held just for this specific degree so it wasn't as large as the whole University graduation. The speakers were all very pleasant to listen to. HOWEVER who ever decided to use this building did not think this through from a scrapbookers point of view ( how dare they right!) the pictures are ALL horrible I'll post one of Robbie so you can see for yourself! I didn't get to sit through a lot of the ceremony, for some reason our two year old had a very stern mind of his own on what he wanted to do that day, so we spent a lot of time in the hall way. Robbie's sister was very kind to take over on "toddler duty" so I could go in & sit while Robbie actually walked. It was very nice of her & I have no real words to express my gratitude other than thank you very much Jonilin!

After the ceremony, Robbie, myself,Trenton, Rob's parents & sister met up outside. We talked for a few minutes about how proud we were of Robbie & then the conversation turned to all the things we needed to do that day for the next day ( commissioning ceremony ) So we literally forgot to take any pictures of our graduate. I got one good one or Robbie holding Trent. My heart is so sad that we let this moment pass us so quickly, for preparations for the weekend. Robbie & I have joked about putting his cap & gown back on & getting pictures of all of us just to "re-live" the moment. All in all I have many mental pictures & a very proud heart to remind me of his accomplishment, even without pictures!

After the ceremony the graduates & families were invited to go have a lunch at the new Sutton building where they studied most of the time. It was Beautiful! Robbie told me he would bring me back this summer so we can get pictures of it without our screaming toddler! The lunch was just the three of us (rob,me & T.C) & it was really very nice. I got to meet a few of his professors & friends who graduated with him that day.

See terrible pictures. the lighting just wasn't good.Trenton being a turkey. The only picture we took after the ceremony.
Robbie, I am so proud of you & all your hard work to get to where you are. I love you with all my heart!

Easter 2010

I know I'm a little behind but I figure this is for me as much for you so I'd better do it anyway!

Trenton & I had a fun Easter weekend (dad was out of town so it was the two of us)
On Saturday Trenton's Aunt Joni & uncle Jas invited us to come out to color eggs. Trenton had a blast discovering how the white egg went in the bowl & came out a bright blue, green, pink, yellow or orange. He got really excited with one egg & threw it in the green coloring, good thing Aunt Joni was prepared & had plastic bags & newspaper put down all over the place!

He was So proud of these eggs, he would take them out a fridge everyday & "ohh & ahh" at them & he would show them off to anyone he could! It was so cute!

On Easter we had visitors from grandma & grandpa who brought candy & bubbles for Trenton from the Easter bunny, he was pretty excited!
We ended our day with other grandparents who had dinner & Easter egg hunt ready for us. Trenton had a blast looking for the eggs & playing with the toys the Easter bunny left him. He got a "carrot" baseball & bat & I swear it is a little boys instinct to know what to do with those, DNA imprinted! He played ball with his uncle Jason & aunt Lisa. It was so dang cute. I'm putting that kid in T-ball next year!

We ended the day just the two of us watching a movie & relaxing.
It was such a fun Easter weekend.
I'm so thankful for family who made this year special!
